Welcome to Main Line Custom Engraving,
My name is Bob Kraut, and for the past forty years, I’ve found myself navigating through an array of diverse markets- ranging from the industrial, (heavy machinery sales), to the suburban, (home design/ home living), all the way up to the equestrian disciplines (horse training/horse sales)- yet, as varied as these interests may be, they all helped to pave the way for my new passion: laser cutting and engraving. Now, two years ago, if you were to have asked me about lasers, I would’ve responded with some lame joke- you mean those things from Star Wars?- because, truthfully, I had no knowledge, or interest, in the field. But as luck would have it, I found myself talking to a friend one day- about how my kids were all in school, about how I was bored, and wanted to explore a new interest- and this friend happened to suggest custom laser engraving. Given my lack of experience in this area, it seemed like a strange recommendation, however, the more I thought about it, the more I realized that- even in careers as wide and varied as my own- there has always been a demand for personalized engravings.
This revelation prompted me to give it a chance, and I soon discovered that laser engraving was my passion, so I read the books, honed my craft, and opened up shop in Coatesville, Pennsylvania. (On the fifth floor of the Midway Arts Center: an old feed mill-turned-office building, which houses other artisanal, start-ups). In this space, I have two, (soon to be three), machines, which can engrave almost all surfaces.
The heartbeat of this business is the Epilog Fusion Pro 48: (a large, 36” x 48” 120W C02 laser, with a 50W Fiber dual source laser). Meaning that- with its large format engraving bed, as well as its powerful dual source lasers- this machine can mark and cut a multitude of materials, including: wood, leather, etc… Using this machine, I can make stable signs, custom trophies, stall plaques, nameplates, and I can also engrave leather- whether we’re talking about a set of boots, a work bridle, leather patch hats, or girths.
In addition to the Epilog, I’m able to engrave precious and semi-precious metals with the 60W Laserstar Fiber MOPA laser. The Laserstar’s precision quality allows me to engrave brass, aluminum, copper, titanium, gold, and silver. This machine is also able to engrave in color- (specifically, with stainless steel and titanium). Basically, if you need me to engrave name plates, rings, bracelets, watches, pendants, challenge coins, or knives, the Laserstar has you covered.
My newest machine, the Stepcraft M1000 CNC milling machine, arrives in May. This is a large format CNC router which can carve all types of woods, plastics, metals, and with its work area- (36” x 48”)- this machine specializes in engraving large materials: signs, customized woodworking projects, and brass sheets for custom nameplates.
Whether you’re looking for engravings for your home- (glass or stainless steel drinkware, customized slate or wood coasters)- or for your business- (metal business cards, signs)- Main Line Custom Engraving has all of your needs covered, and I will make it my top priority to deliver you a quality, personalized product. And if you want to engrave something that you already own, just ship your items to me, and I will create the artwork, engrave the item, and return it to you in no time. [ I accept all drop shipments.]
Now all that’s left for you to do is to pick up the phone and call me, so that we can discuss your next customized gift for a loved one or a valued customer. I look forward to creating something special for just for you!
